yahoogle - when has Congress nationalized assets the last time? I don't think that this is very likely to happen. The US always has had the strongest ownership right of any country I am aware of. my point is that the situation will not be as distressed because foreigners are able to convert their US$ denominated debt into hard US assets. That situation set's it apart from many other countries that have foreign debt.
