I must share with you however that the night Dan did that bit that later was proved to be false about Bush I was watching and I was uncomfortable. I sensed something wasn't right. It was just an emotion.. feeling that I didn't trust what was being presented. I thought Dan Rather looked sheepish too as though he were reporting it and maybe not believing it.

I had the same reaction watching Richard Nixon on TV in the 1970's, when he sat behind the transcripts of his tapes and denied involvement in the Watergate coverup.

Hubris is not an attractive condition.
