Elf **

Only if you really like the fella from SNL,
then maybe ***. My kid lost interest in this
DVD pretty quick, but the wife liked it.
Has some cute moments, the love interest
has a nice voice, at least when she is in
the shower. Then later something happens and
her voice really isn't so good.

Finally, in my garage on the big screen,
Return of the Jedi. The kids all lost interest
in this pretty quick, which is good because it
is far too violent for 4 and 5 year olds.

Four stars, this is really the second best
of the Star Wars movies I think. There is really
only one flaw that bothers me--the fall in cloud
city should have been better. Looks great in the
home theatre. I am looking forward to getting
back my Phantom Menace DVD from my brother and
seeing it on the big screen again.

Attack of the Clones *****
I think this is my favorite Star Wars movie
now. I am a sucker for too much CGI however,
and I know Star Wars A New Hope is supposed
to be the best...but it hasn't held up for me.
Seeing it in the summer of '77 (I think it
was '77) as an 11-year old, was as good as
this could be, and the movie is just too old
and dated now--the trash compactor is a bit
lame, even the assault on the Death Star is
underwhelming now.
