CB,

Your getting circular: I don't see why Christians can't organize their own party instead of trying to hijack a secular party.

This thread originally (umpteen posts ago) started on the general concept of Christmas (the religious Holiday) being hijacked by secularists. Lots of the cities you list converted Christmas parades to festival parades.

Its kind of like a farm I used to drive by in Maryland. It was there for 200 odd years. Eventually the 'burbs surrounded it and people became offended by some of the smells. A little legislation later and it got zoned out of existence, and out of some very outraged folks backyards. If you went to the meetings you would have thought the 'burbs were there first.

Personally I can separate the secular and religious. For the offended Christians who can't, whats the harm in letting them gripe? Assuming they don't get violent of course :-0
