That depends upon a couple of things. First, whose perspective and, second, how you view the mission in terms of importance and doability.

There are many people, maybe a majority of Americans, who see things differently. Is it because they value the lives of the troops more highly? Is it because they let themselves "feel" those losses more deeply? Is it because they see the mission as unnecessary or not doable, or possibly not doable without a great deal more cost than you see? Is it a combination of those things? Who knows?

I wish, however, that you'd read the article on the battle for Falluhah so that you'll understand better what it is that we're asking of the living and the dead. Ed
