WASHINGTON (AFX) - The average price of a barrel of oil is expected to ease gradually to 25 usd per barrel in 2010 from 35 usd now, in 2003 constant dollar terms, as new supplies come onto the market, the US Energy Information Agency said

By 2025, however, the oil price will have climbed again to 30.31 usd per barrel, it said. The 2025 forecast was 3 usd per barrel higher than the one the EIA made at the end of last year. The forecast assumes OPEC will continue to boost production, enough resources are available, and there is capital to fund the development of production.

Oil demand will grow to 120 mln barrels per day in 2025 from 80 mln in 2003, it said
