It was an old barn with hand sawn oak beams. Mortar and tenon with wood pegs. The beams were too hard to drive nails into. The tenants on the farm wanted me to get rid of it because they had to farm around it. I contacted lots of people to see if they wanted the building for the wood but no one wanted to mess with it. Talk about some nice fireplace mantles!

I got a call from someone in the area about a guy who wanted the siding for making furniture. Called him and said he had to take the whole thing and he said ok. He took the bottom siding and left the rest. Another call about it being unsafe, I said burn it down. Can't do that as some shingles may wind up in the crops. CROPS? It's faulking February? Well next year.

3 large to have it taken down and buried. Lots of these need to do projects popping up and I'm getting screwed. I'm probably going to sell the farm even though it's been in the family over 150 years. This fall I got a propane bill and we use natural gas on the farm.
