<< Then CC jumped onto the thread for a few days telling us all what a great opportunity we had here. I decided to hold my position based on his enthusiasm and supposed expertise. I now wonder about his motivation. If I knew nothing was going to happen over the summer, by making a simple call to the company, wouldn't a professional newsletter writer also know this? >>

Michael, it is a pleasure to comment on this..even if your remark is not exactly positive.

I indeed made encouraging and positive comments on NCW in June because I knew a press release was coming out sometimes in July as the company still had holes to report. At that time, (end of June..) gold was consolidating near $335-340 and NCW at about the same price I purchased it or $1.05-$1.10. Then came the big 40$ drop in gold in early July...NCW like most juniors took a big drop and has not yet recovered completely.

NCW told you that they were not planning too much in the summer months. That is through as far as field work is concerned. But maybe they didn't told you that a press release was coming. They did report a very decent news release in mid July. It was indeed very good and I was expecting a strong reaction...but unfortunetely, everobody was buying the US markets in early July...Noobody was interested by gold stocks.

What can I say... I can't forecast $40 drop in the price of gold..just ahead of a coming press release.

<< Also, the fact that he has never come back to the thread to give his opinion suggests his original arrival on the thread had nothing to
do with helping us but rather was an attempt to help himself.>>

Well unlike many other newsletter editors, I don't accept options or cheap private placement. I refused to be paid for trips I made to visit IPM, Regeena, MAN, NCW and quite a few others... even if all where proposing to either pay in full or split the expenses.
And of course, I don't sell when my subscribers are buying after a recommendation.

<< Pro's should stay off a thread unless they plan to contribute on a long term >>

This is a valid proposition. That is one of the reason I am now posting much less on Compuserve than I did before. As for SI, I have never been a heavy poster here. I am still debating what is the valid approach.. I owe it to my subscribers to keep what I have to say for them... So maybe I will simply stop posting here...

As for NCW, Jay Taylor, Ron Struthers, I and several brokers, NCW is a good company, has a good project and the stock should reflect this situation. But again the markets are what they are.
