On appeal, they are extremely limited. They might be able to appeal on the basis that no claim under the theory could be made at all. Depends on exactly which deadlines they met or did not meet. They might also be able to appeal the damages and the tripling of the damages as those are matters of law rather than factual issues, which should be totally precluded from review.

I suspect that they have no money in the entity against which there will be a judgment. If money has been transferred to a new entity for less than adequate consideration, presumably the next step will be to try to trace the assets and go after that entity or people, without the necessity of a full trial on the issues which could have been tried at this trial.

Confusing but sounds like these people are going to do what they have to go after the cowardly terrorists.
