I caught a bit of CNBC at lunch, their guests are increasingly bearish. One gentleman was almost sinister in his discussion of investor sentiment, to the tune of "we can't figure out why investors aren't scared about the crisis in Asia but we have ways of making them scared". Tune in next week when (as CNBC said about next week) "the brokerage desks will be fully staffed". I agree with Tommaso about BEARX, a shorts-and-puts mutual fund is effective and rather perfect for hedging purposes and crash insurance. I wish there were more choices for "aggressive shrinkage funds" , Tice seems very conservative.
