The Pat Tillman story is tragic. If you look at the post-9/11 world, he is one of the few, perhaps the only, public figure who did not profit from the attack.

Guiliani and his henchman made tens of millions. Bush and Cheney got re-elected. Condosleeza Rice got made Secretary of State.

Tillman lost millions, and his life. I think Tillman is a hero, not for choosing to join the Army, but for turning his back on easy riches.

Yet I find it strange that all of the people who were sticklers for protocol with regard to Kerry's Silver Star are totally ignoring Tillman's Silver Star.
