Ted, If the FF had been religious freaks, this country would be a theocracy, not a democracy.
They were considered "religious freaks" by the Anglican church. America was founded so that people can freely practice their religion, not be free from religion as you so desire to be.
When they founded America, they also stipulated the separation of church and state so that the state/our workplaces would be free of religion. Practicing your religion freely does not mean imposing your religious and moral values on the rest of us. That's something the religious freaks in this country as well as the ME can't seem to get through their heads.
Yesterday, the red Sec. of Defense told American troops that there was not enough money and manu. capacity to produce the armor they need in Iraq.
Lots of soldiers are e-mailing their families and saying that they have plenty of armor on their vehicles. Sure, it's never enough, but the press (who "wagged the dog" and planted the question in the first place, drudgereport.com ) is twisting the truth and making it sound like our military commanders don't want to armor our troops.
If you remember, last month a whole platoon refused to go on a fuel run because they had inadequate armor. This issue keeps resurfacing periodically because the problem never gets resolved. Why? You never answer the hard questions.
Of course, Drudge and FOX will say its a media issue only because they are the mouthpieces for the WH. They misrepresent as much as ole Rummie misrepresents. And, of course, you go running to them because they will tell you what you want to hear.
If you are such a proud, good American why did you do this to your fellow Americans?
