trains are so romantic aren't they - like the orient express. Yeah. Definitely. I also sometimes think about how hobos used to camp out cooking over an open fire under the stars and when it was time to move on, they'd hop on an empty freight car cruise along through the summer night's air and wake up in some far off town with a new experience waiting for them there. ...or... They would get loaded up on ripple and pass out in a smelly livestock car and get their butts kicked by the train conductor and heaved off the car into the gravel bed... I prefer the first scenario and wish I had tried it when I was just out of high school... Over in Europe they have that nice EuroRail. You could buy a season pass and travel as often as you wanted. I wonder if Amtrack ever had such a deal. -Clappy
