Perhaps it was meant in jest, but I feel that your post is one of the nastier, uglier posts I've read here. It IS, however, demonstrative of the deep-seated arrogance and intense feelings of moral superiority and infallibility that blind so many on the left (including a couple I can think of right here on this thread) to the reasons for their party's failures. The idea that you would hope for the country to "nosedive" so that people would "turn on" each other and *your* party could seize power again is just disgusting. But then, that's not an unusual attitude for people from *your* party either, is it? Do you really think it's possible, in a democratic nation like America where public support is necessary, to gain the support of people for whom your contempt is shouted from the roof tops? Perhaps that's not what you had in mind - perhaps you'd prefer to just "barbeque" all the "country inbred folks" and be done with it? A little ethic cleansing, you might say, to make way for *your* "utopia"?
