The immigration control failure is pure political pandering to Hispanics. Republicans and Dems both want the votes. For dems - they have made California safe for all but the worst democratic politicians - like Gray Davis. Political correctness is one of the biggest threats we face - eg - lack of profiling at airports. Bob
