"The question about armoring the Humvee's has been in debate for some time" Sure it has. But the latest debate stems from when Rumsfeld got roasted over the trucks with their hillbilly armor. Arguing over something that isn't pertinent is just distracting. Compared to the other countries, the US does have an infinite budget with infinite resources. But even if that wasn't the case, what happened to the money that was budgeted for armoring vehicles? Disappeared with the other money that has gone unaccounted for in Iraq? It's not like this is a new issue. It was discussed in February, probably earlier. slate.com;
