For the last three years, ours was the only house in the immediate neighborhood with a wireless network. At a neighborhood holiday party last night, I learned that two deep houses on either side of us, two houses directly across the street, and the house directly behind us have all installed wireless networks in the past year. by the way, all these networks use Linksys wireless routers, and clearly the wireless network concept has become mainstream at the consumer level. Does anyone know offhand if Cisco breaks out financials on their wholely owned Linskys business in their annual reports? Only one of these local wireless networks are set for encryption!
