nnillionaire, all these networks use Linksys wireless routers, and clearly the wireless network concept has become mainstream at the consumer level.
This week I was going to have a DirecTV satellite dish and receiver installed for local channels which have recently come to Jefferson city, MO. I have an electronic house with touch screens for the lights, music, cd, radio, tv, dvd, heating and air-conditioning, climate control , camera's and security systems. The problem, Directv was afraid to install the systme due to possible corruption of the system since they had no experience in electonic houses. I am having to go back to the original installer of the system since it involves a knowledge of computer programing and other installation skill.
I have the system wired with RG 6 shield cabling and cat 5-e wiring and have the ability to go cable tv, satellite, general broadcast and possible future laser transmission.
On of the best moves I made was the installation of 1 1/2 " PVC pipe in the walls running from the finished basement to the attic, and then down the wall, through the ceilings to the hub and appliances center (CD, DVD, and other devices.)
How can the Linksys wireless routers be effecive use in my system or is my wired system better since I already have a RIF system and remotes for all the above.
