My understanding is that Asian women like marrying American men because American men are more liberated, more respectful of women, more willing to help around the house and with the children, more appreciative, more likely to give presents and money and other material things. Not sure if this is the same for Indian men, who seem to be nicer to women than other Asian men.
Some cultures are very hard on women, e.g., Vietnamese, where women are expected to do all the housework, like a traditional wife, plus work two jobs, like a modern Vietnamese woman, plus pamper her husband.
Then we have the Japanese -- I keep reading that Japanese women don't want to marry Japanese men, and the birth rate is terrible. |
