Sorry John, It is not an 'at the moment' thing for me. I have never had a good thought about Wally World since old Sam died.
As for 'incentives', my brother was offered 6 years zero property or city taxes AND $25,000 per full time employee to locate in a new industrial park. It was made known to him they did not care what wages were paid and $6.50 would see a line at the door.
Maybe the "old 5 & dime" could not afford to pay higher wages, maybe they did, but after Wally put them out of business the former workers had no choice,,,,, C'mon Wally COULD afford to pay a decent wage. Comparing what mgrs are paid to min wage--
