Well, appeasement is an interesting topic, but it doesn't happen to be one I have ever advocated, or even discussed. At this point, I think teaching people to read what is actually IN posts is probably step one. There can be no communication (in English) where people cannot comprehend words written in plain English.

I understand the desire to project all one's anger, and shibboleths on to others, we see it in history, we see it on SI- but it's completely unappealing and useless to the person being used as a projection screen. It's not harmful, I suppose, in cyberspace- where the angry projectors can't touch you, but it is a huge waste of time and bandwidth.
