"Denying that Iraqis have died on a massive scale simpy avoids facing the truth about the nature of our actions in Iraq -- you are entitled to any form of denial you wish. There are still those in Japan that deny their guilt for WWII. And of course there are those who still deny that Jews were killed by the millions in WWII. "

What about all those germans and japanese we killed in WW2. Seems to me, its ok with you when enemy soldiers are killed (along with collateral civilian casualties) in what you judge to be a just war. So its all about whose ox is being gored. Since iraq doesnt fit your model we become war criminals in your eyes. Pacifists like Jacob are far more consistent. Being opposed to policies and questioning the result of such policies is just fine but to declare certain wars criminal based on your political beliefis is way to far to go, unless of course you are a pacifist. mike
