True. But sociobiology is an outgrowth of Darwinian evolution to try to explain why prairie dogs bark warnings (even though they wind up being lunch) or social insects.

This is not to say that I buy into sociobiology 100%. But it is interesting. And even if true, things like this should never be used as a foundation of ethics or morality. Those are different issues.

The value of intelligence is the ability to overcome instinct when necessary.
