How about we just segregate social security funds from the rest of the money?

I THINK that's the sort of thing Gore was talking about with the "lock box" thing.

If soc. sec.funds had been segregated since the beginning of the program and simply invested in government bonds the program would currently be solvent till about the year 3000.

If they started segregating and investing NOW the program would go to 2100 with NO problem.

It's their damn accounting methods that have screwed the program.
