Excuse me. Rephrasing:

A foundation of swill? How, exactly, does that particular "foundation" compare with the vast edifice of W's prewar WMD propaganda campaign? "Facts", indeed, and "logic" in some perverse looking glass sense of the word too.

Then there's the irony of Jayson Blair, who wrote/plagiarized/made up a bunch of dumb speculative stories about the DC sniper, lost admidst the vast "foundation" of speculation on that topic floating around at that time, versus Judith Miller, who reliably reported Chalabi fabrications on WMDs as "fact" in service to W's propaganda campaign, and remains in good standing at the "liberal" Times.
