Well, you said that European's anti Zionism really masks their anti Semiticism. Given your theoretical logic, Israeli emigrees then who express the same anti-Zionism must be masking a similar anti Semiticism, or in their case, a kind of self hatred because after all, they are Semitic/Jewish.
Which means that no one can ever criticize Israel, Israeli or non Israeli alike, for fear of being labeled anti-Semitic........at least, according to the right. And that in itself is a fascinating position for the right to take since one of the right's major complaints of the left is the PC attitude the left shows to minorities.
And yet, with Israel, if one is not PC.....that is, by not showing pee-in-their-pants excitement over Israel and every thing that Israel does, then they must anti-Semitic. In another words, more hypocritical ca ca from the right.
The truth is Israel over the last ten years has become increasingly aggressive to its neighbors, has become more recalcitrant when it comes to issue of Palestinian statehood, and uses questionable tactics to get the Palestinians' compliance.......particularly for a country that claims to be a democracy.
So save your anti-Zionism/anti Semitic BS for your John Birch meetings. |
