An entirely new multi-billion dollar infrastructure will need to be created for dispensing hydrogen safely and conveniently to the public. I believe there may be one hydrogen "filling station" in America today. Or maybe I read that it is "in the works". :)

OTOH, I watched a lengthy presentation by the Administrator of the Energy Information Administration last week, and he provided copious models of the U.S. energy system through 2030. Hydrogen was not mentioned in 90 minutes of speech and Q&A. Then again, neither were pebble-bed nuclear plants, solar power or wind power.

It felt like just the right sort of muscular fossil fuel presentation...... for 1950.
