I dread the thought of another bible-thumper vs. liberal-weenie election.

Well, that bible-thumper stuff has got me pretty much creeped out at the moment. I'd go with the liberal-weenie any old day. Seriously. I have never paid much attention to the hyper-religious until recently. I posted this anecdote to another thread in the past couple of days, but it might amuse you. A few weeks ago, we had some great aurora activity. I checked the aurora forum that I sometimes follow to see if there was a high likelihood for more displays over the next couple of nights. Most of the regulars who post to the forum are either astronomy buffs or scientists, but when there's a good display, there are usually a few posts by casual observers. Well, you wouldn't believe a few of the posts that turned up on the forum the first night of the really strong aurora displays which were much further south than is usual... man.. unbelievable.. Stuff about second comings, the rapture, the end, angels, trumpets, resurrection...almost always typed WITH THE CAPLOCKS ON...

eeeeeeeeekkkkkkk!!!!!
