Grain, huh? Any relation?
Interesting NGO, BTW. Genetic Resources Action International. Relentlessly attacking intellectual property rights, uncovering the secret purposes of free trade agreements, battling the looming threat of genetically modified crops, and exposing capitalist corporations everywhere for the greedy exploiters of the people that they all are known to be.
Just wondering, but do you also think intellectual property rights are "killing innovation, freedom and access to essential things like culture, health and education"? Do you oppose international agreements meant to protect patents, trademarks and copyrights?
Oh, and what was it you said about "distorting information" being "fascist"? Is GRAIN then fascist or do you think 97% of Iraqi farmers really are being forced to by seed from giant American corporations?
Don't believe every piece of propaganda put out by political organizations, Grainne. They all have agendas and few are above distorting (a.k.a. "spinning") the truth to suit their agendas. A Grainne of salt goes well with it, one might say.
If you share their agenda, that's fine. In this case, that would tell us something about your belief system - i.e. that you place little importance on economic liberty - to each his own... but only according to his needs, of course. |
