Chris, AHHHNold makes me sick too. I am a California nurse who works in a hospital and I am surprised there is not more public outrage at this. First of all, his language "kicking butt" is just uncouth and unfitting for a public official. To refer to nurses as "special interest" group--this is just more republican Orwelliam double-speak. Nurses are the best example of salt of the earth working people. Also--the staffing ratios are there to protect and serve the patients. How could Ahhnold convince people they don't need more nurses? I've been a nurse for 27 yrs and I can tell you implementing these new staffing ratios are essential for safe care. But why would Arnold care about that? There's a different standard of health care for celebs like him.
You know what makes me the most angry about this? AFter 911 Bush played dress up and pretended to support police, firefighters, medical personnel. And what does he try to do? Take away their overtime pay!!! I shocked the democrats didn't blitz them on this.
Arnold's "pro-business" stance is DUHHHH anti-worker, consumer.
I'm embarassed for Californians and shocked he is getting away with this. He just makes me sick.
