Interesting discussion. I disagree with your statement that, "If it is the truth, it is not manipulation." Something can be true but if it is used to manipulate, then it may violate the various SEC acts or the regulations thereunder.
Admittedly, not having followed the various players on either side, I am trying to understand the arguments. What I see here is some posters claiming (and I emphasize claiming)
that information was obtained from the FBI database
that shares were obtained from alleged extortion
that the information (and/or shares) was shared with others who reasonably should have known that it was from the FBI database
that the evidence of erasing logs, etc., shows that this information was known, or should have been reasonably known, to be illegally obtained
that these same individuals went on to "bash" the subject companies
that these individuals published this information to the press after establishing their own short position
and that, as a result, there was a continuous loop of conspiracy.
The similarities in the cast of character, as the previous poster, posted could provide evidence of this conspiracy.
Conspiracies are tough to prove but this is what I'm piecing together from reading these endless posts back and forth. It makes for interesting reading and speculation.
Again, no opinion is expressed here whether the bashing was true or false, justified or not justified, as I believe that is immaterial for this discussion. |
