I'm sorry that disturbed you, but I've been following the ABM issue since Reagan's Star Wars heyday (well, actually, since the short-lived Safeguard system, but that's another story). As far as I can tell, the effectiveness of the available technology has always been vastly overstated. I think it's fundamentally silly to be spending billions to deploy a system that can't perform reliably under perfect test conditions.
