I did not realize you could grind your coffee beans at Costco until last night; saw a lady grinding a bag of Starbucks French Roast and thought I'd give it a try, so ground my own bag using the fine expresso setting. Drinking a cup as I type. Very nice. There are three expresso drinkers in the house, so it won't go bad before it's used up.

Funny how some conservatives blast liberals as "Starbucks-going latte-drinkers," when the real truth is that latte drinking is a function of where you live, not how you vote. No Starbucks in small town America except for the Blue States. Vermont, yes, Mississippi, no.

How you vote and where you live are related, but drinking latte does not make you a liberal. Nor does wearing Earth shoes (moi) or Birkenstocks (moi again) or driving a Volvo -- I am in the market for a nice used Volvo for the kids. But will put on it a bumper sticker that says "I AM NOT A LIBERAL."
