Of course, statistics in a vacuum are not so informative. Here's the same data for China. In that same 20 year period their GDP rose by 550%, from 227 billion to 1.412 trillion: worldbank.org And here's thislandisourland: worldbank.org It looks like we tripled our GDP in the same time period. I wonder how France did? worldbank.org Voila, it tripled its GDP as well, better than tripled it.
