I ran across this and have no idea whatsoever if it's credible. If it were possible to substantiate, it would certainly add a new twist to some of the existing information. rense.com The item that comes to mind is the piece of steel saved from the WTC that had swiss cheese holes all through one end of it. While that wouldn't account for the failure of the central core, it might explain why the WTC was picked as a target, why Silverstein loaded up on insurance, and partly why the steel was destroyed before it could be investigated. A shear wall with holes all through the structure would be rather unstable in high winds. A person might even wonder how the Federal Building in Oklahoma City was built. I imagine it would be ever so much more convenient to just blow up a public landmark, rather than face years of environmental hearings, costly upgrades or even more costly demolitions, not to mention dealing with all the citizen's committees waving signs. And of course if you have an administration openly in favor terrorist organizations advocating a New Pearl Harbor, why not kill 3000 birds with one stone.
