ratty and crocker-- pitiful slowpokes... unlike the stuff i usually throw up here for download, THIS piece is from work. at work i optimize the file to be STREAMED at both a phatpipe rate AND a pitifully slow dialup rate. streaming means that you don't have to wait for the file to download before you can watch it. it would be of great benefit to me to get some feedback from both of you as to whether you're able to view the streaming video on your pitifully slow connections. if you don't want to go to the page and click the dialup version you can just click on this URL: cabq.gov it should launch your windows media player (if you have it) then it will connect and buffer for a few seconds before it begins to play. the video window is small and the quality is even smaller <g> (very pixelated and very jerky) but you should be able to follow what's happening, see who's talking and hear the sound fine. you don't have to watch the entire 10 minutes but you'll be doing me a favor if you'll test it for me and report the results. i'd particularly like to know if it continues to play without stopping to re-buffer. thanks -el public servant
