You can make the case for a guy like Rumsfeld to come in and shake things up -- fair enough. In that case, you don't listen. That is Rumsfeld. But when you don't listen, and when your actions blow up in your face and people die -- lots of people -- and when our strategic interests are seriously damaged -- then you fire the guy. That Rumsfeld has not been fired is truly bad management from the White House.
