Maurice - Appreciate your posts. Regarding health effects, just about anything can happen at cellular and molecular level, but consensus of scientific community is that there is no "substantial" evidence that RF can cause or contribute to cancer. As opposed to ionizing radiation, the mechanisms for RF damage are more deterministic than stochastic. The best site I have seen for a scientific treatment of health effects from cell phones, PCS and base stations (in FAQ format) is at:

mcw.edu

It is by Professor John Moulder of the Medical College of Wisconsin, an acknowledged expert on non-ionizing radiation effects. He also presents contrary findings, an extensive bibliography, and lots of neat diagrams.

I am in the worry-more-about-keeping-your-eyes-on-the-road camp.
