Interesting thread. You'd be surprised to find how many physicians share your concerns but have their hands tied by the lack of funded alternatives. It wasn't always as such of course, but since there is a profit to be made on health/sickness, it only pays to be efficient and fast. Nothing beats a pill for efficiency.
