It is done.

I wrote about my new carpet.
I admitted I never cared about the old one, and let bird guts and pizza coexist on it at the end.
I confessed how my new carpet life became an obsessive need to walk around with a can of Resolve Carpet cleaner in one hand and my trusty Shark sweeper in the other, patrolling for random bits of dirt.
And how I made people take their shoes off and drink only vodka or water and how we haven't had spaghetti sauce in months, just in case someone got some on his chin and walked out of the kitchen and Dripped.

I then threw in a gratuitous eat-your-heart-out, we-went-to-Scotland, nyahnyah bit but legitimized it by bringing in Mendelssohn's visit to Holyrood, and his writing of the Scottish Symphony, and my epiphany -the realization that Medelssohn probably never thought about HIS carpet-
thus leading to a discussion of the important things in life.

It is 700 words of Rambiblather.
Dan loved it as it revealed nothing of any consequence at all.
