There has to be some incentive for Palestinians to clean up their act. Why should Sharon give them all they want without concessions? In the end, I think everything except the division of Jerusalem is negotiable, and even then, I suspect that a formula could be found giving limited autonomy to East Jerusalem. The settlements are toast, with the possible exception of those right in suburban Jerusalem, if the Palestinians play their cards right. I think that the Palestinians will have to renounce claims to a right of return. For that, they may get a fund to compensate claims to land ownership, which are often without documentation, expeditiously.
