I'm trying to theorize about the extreme liquidity injections of 11-8 to 12-8. The footprints seem to lead to FNM. I think the Fed monetized a chunk of their portfolio, to allow them to put "lipstick on this pig" maybe adjust duration shorter, raise some capital. Now this week we see liquidity being withdrawn (note latest week), jessel.100megsfree3.com and a FNM purge is underway. marketwatch.com Today might be the key, will they do an injection, or just let things slide?
