I installed three 3litre Toto UltraMax toilets in each of our three bathrooms, replacing the 3litre American Standards.

The Japanese technology is far superior since they've been working with water restrictions for a long time. In Japan, when you flush, you have a choice between 'large' and 'small', and the water savings are huge. I wish we had that in N. America, we would save more water.

The Totos and their GMax technology are quite popular in WA state and the Caroma is highly rated as well.

Here in rural WA state, we have low pressure water and are on a septic tank so this worked out better.
