How's it going Hawk? It's nice to see you back for Xmas. No,hang on, your post says "here in Baghdad". Meanwhile, I see the USA has finally decided that I was right that "Iraqi debt" was really "Saddam's debt" and they are writing off a decent chunk of money.

I'm sure you are doing a great job and I hope you are being well-paid for what you are achieving. Good for you. I'm happy that some of my taxes are going your way [much happier than with what happens to lots of my taxes in NZ funding useless criminal layabouts].

Iraq owes about $40bn in debt and interest repayments to the 19-strong club of creditors, which includes the US, Russia, Japan and European nations.

But the country still owes over $80bn to countries outside the Paris Club and is now appealing to them to show similar forgiveness, the BBC's Rob Watson in Washington says. ..

Keep up the good work. But you really should have a NUN on your side too. 6 bn people behind you would be better than 150 million.

Thanks,
