Yup guess you're right, but I never thought of YHOO as just a search engine, did you?

YAHOO was the original search engine. Search engines are called port-holes to the Internet.

At one time I had a watch list in the 1990s of 40 “portal” Internet companies. Most are now belly-up.

YHOO and GOOG the current leaders and worth placing on your watch list.
