I understand that Stanford has had some systems contracts with MOTbut do not know of any direct participation in commercial set-top box or cable/wireless-to-the-home activity. You should check with the company to find out more about this. They have a joint venture arrangement with HP for set-top boxes that will use STII transmitter chips. HP would most likely control the operating system software.
