Well, whether or not Privatization of SS occurs, I strongly advise anyone here with young children to teach them to save. My uncle taught me like this: He said, "PAY YOURSELF FIRST". So, my entire life I saved a minimum of 10% (in later years more) of what I earned. I paid myself first not by saving what was LEFT (theres never ANY LEFT in a deal like that-(gg)). Sure, there were times early on that it hurt, but as the moneys grew, and MONEY started WORKING FOR ME rather than ME working for MONEY, any personal sacrifice I made up front was MORE THEN COVERED by the wonderful feeling of being financially independent and not having to lick anyones boots for my next meal. jdn
