kumar, The dictionary shows the definition of "niggardly" to be, 1.not willing to spend,give, or share: cheap - 2.scanty: meager. It is a perfect word for the experience you mentioned, and has nothing to do with the race of any person. Those that take offense at the word must have a giant chip on their shoulder, are just looking for something to bitch about, or just plain ignorant.
