400 mg Celebrex is two 200s, which is a pretty standard dose. But I thought the article said that 400 was ok, it was more than 400 that was the problem.

I have been taking 400 mg Celebrex PRN (as needed) at bedtime when my hip joint hurts, and I know it will keep me awake all night. Only from time to time, but now I am a bit worried. Will research a bit, and then prolly ask internist to re-prescribe Tylenol #3 with codeine.

Actually should start swimming or something. X-rays of hip and back show no arthritis, maybe pain just caused by tightness in the muscles. But I do have arthritis, both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, and Celebrex is excellent for pain relief. If the risk of heart disease isn't TOO grave, I may stick with it rather than risk gastric bleeding. Am taking a statin already.
