CB, it looks like about 15% in the UK [ = 1 in 7 for the mathematically challenged]. Fewer in high socioeconomic groups and more in lower, with quite high variations. Up to 30%! 1 in 3. childsupportanalysis.co.uk I dare say it's much fewer where stonings to death take place.

With the human genome industry getting underway - obviously with me and you both getting DNA tested, it seems that it'll become standard practise to know just which genes are likely to become homozygous [if that's the expression - I know as much about biology as you do about maths] and a problem.

Giving children avoidable genetic diseases will not be considered "cute", or "natural", or "spirited". It'll be considered criminally negligent. Laws will be passed.

Lots of people will find that their father wasn't their father.

PS: < I am not worried. I look very much like him, and we have several of the same medical conditions - Schlatsky's ring, sleep apnea, eat too much, drink too much, > Eat too much and drink too much is not much of a genetic guide - judging by obesity rates in the USA and Budweiser sells by the billion.
